This notice explains how FleetTask handles website enquiries, account administration, security records and support information. A fleet operator controls the staff, driver, passenger and workshop information it enters into FleetTask.

Who to contact

For FleetTask privacy questions, email privacy@fleet-task.com. If your information was entered by an employer or fleet operator, contact that organisation first.

What we use and why

We use contact and enquiry details to respond and prepare a business service; customer and billing contacts to administer contracts; login, IP, audit and device details to secure FleetTask; and support messages to diagnose and resolve problems. Our lawful bases are steps before a contract, contract, legal obligations and our legitimate interests in providing and securing a business service. Consent is used where law requires it.

We do not sell personal data, use customer content for unrelated advertising, or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Sharing and transfers

Information is shared only with contracted hosting, storage, backup, email and technical suppliers; professional advisers; a genuine business buyer; or authorities where law requires it. Where data leaves the UK, an adequacy regulation or approved UK transfer safeguard is used.

Retention

Website enquiries are normally kept for 24 months. Contract and invoice records are normally kept for six years. Security logs are normally kept for 12 months, and support records for the contract plus six years, unless an investigation or law requires longer. Operator-controlled records follow the operator's settings and agreement.

Your rights

You may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and to withdraw consent. Email us to exercise a right. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Controller details

The legal supplier name, company number, registered address and ICO registration will be stated in each FleetTask Order Form before a paid service begins. This pre-launch site does not yet accept payment online.
